Perfect Stranger

Rowena Price (Halle Berry) is an ace newspaper reporter who suspects that powerful ad executive Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis) is responsible for murdering her childhood friend. Rowena's quirky co-worker Miles (Giovanni Ribisi) helps concoct a plan to investigate Harrison, all the while hoping his efforts will lead to romance with Rowena. Poorly edited and self-reflexive to a fault, "Perfect Stranger" is a boring suspense thriller made modestly bearable by Halle Berry's measured performance. The "surprise" ending is a cookie-cutter copy of every other thriller that leaves you cold.
